Here are my favorite five things from March!
Favorite hike: Vogel State Park
Jeff and I went made a quick stop at Vogel State Park in north Georgia on the way home from spending the weekend with his family. Beautiful scenery, especially this waterfall!
Favorite book: My Own Words
I got this book about Ruth Bader Ginsburg for Christmas, but I’m just starting to read it now. I have loved learned about Justice Ginsburg’s life, especially how she met her husband and her close friendship with Justice Scalia.
Favorite service: Instacart
This has been a really busy month for me, so I’ve been trying to cut out errands/chores in any way I can. Paying a few extra dollars to get my groceries delivered really made a difference. It’s not something I would pay for regularly, but it saved me a lot of stress when I was in training all weekend! It was also a great way to buy my favorite foods at Whole Foods, since we don’t have a Whole Foods close to us.

I learned heard this quote at a coach training, and it really resonated with me. Too often we mistake having anger for being an angry person. It’s normal to experience anger, and everyone does it. That doesn’t mean you are an angry person or a “bad” person. Keeping our sense of worth separate from our thoughts an emotions is so important.
Favorite food: Bacon sweet potato salad
Delicious recipe from PaleOMG. We had a lot of leftover bacon from making breakfast on our trip to the mountains, and I was glad to find a somewhat healthy way to use the rest.
What great finds did you have this month?
