Here are my favorite five things from November!
Favorite Non-Fiction book: Lost and Found by Geneen Roth
Geneen Roth compares her relationships with money and food after she loses her life savings to the Bernie Madoff scam. A fascinating read (or listen, I loved audio books that are actually read by the author) for anyone who has struggled with emotional eating or impulse shopping.
Favorite Fiction Book: Fall of Giants by Ken Follett
The first book of Ken Follett’s Century Trilogy tells the stories of families in England, Wales, America, France, Russia, and Germany as they struggle through World War I. I started reading his other books after discovering Pillars of the Earth, and I could not put this one down. Thanks Bridget for the recommendation!
Favorite Podcast: The Lively Show
Jess aims to “add a little extra intention” to your day through her podcast, with guests such as Liz Gilbert and Alissa Vitti. I love learning from her guests as well as her relatable and entertaining interview style.
Favorite Blog: Clarity on Fire
Rachel and Kristin write and coach about finding your passion in how you live and how you work. I have worked with Rachel personally and love their insightful posts about intuition, self-criticism, and so much more. I highly recommend taking their Passion Profile Quiz– I’m a Thriver!
Favorite New Thing: Diwali
I was introduced to the Indian Festival of Lights through a celebration of work. Dancing, delicious food, beautiful bright clothes and decorations- definitely my kind of holiday.
What are your November favorites? Have you read or listened to any of my recommendations? I’d love to hear your thoughts through comments or on Twitter!
